Fakuma 2017-„Plastics Meets Business”
This year, the Fakuma Fair was at its 25th edition; the event took place during 17th to 21st of October, under the anniversary motto "Plastics Meets Business", and amongst the 1,800 exhibitors was also Romcarbon.
Attending the fair offered us both the opportunity to exhibit our products and to study our competition, which is extremely important, as competition is always the result of progress and evolution.
Exhibiting at Fakuma helped us:
· Develop the database for potential clients;
· Strengthen the relationship with existing clients;
· Present and promote products on the German market;
· Build the company image;
· Strengthen the Romcarbon brand;
Fakuma 2017 was a great experience because we were able to find out more about customer expectations, receive direct feedback about our products, identify local distributors, while the products could actually be seen beyond the pages of a catalog or a PC screen.
Another similar experience is waiting for us next year, May 29th to June 1st, in Milan, during PLAST MILANO 2018! We are just waiting! See you there !
New machines commissioned for processing post-consumer waste
In late 2015, in the "Plastic compound and recycled polymers " production unit within Romcarbon were commissioned new equipment by means of which can be processed post-consumer waste, waste that until recently reached the landfill, without being recovered. At a global level, Romcarbon`s marketing strategy integrates this investment into a complete development program, started in 2012, which respects the sustainable development principle.
Through this new investment it was acquired a new line of washing, sorting and grinding post-consumer waste, equipped with optical sorter. Also, there were purchased two new high capacity extruders. Following the implementation of this investment, the product portfolio was completed with regranulated of high density polyethylene for extrusion and blow molding and polypropylene from post-consumer waste for injection.
